ONEG8's History
A Protest Against Banks
Stemming back to 2012, the history of ONEG8 is an accumulation of discoveries in the wake of the 2008-2009 financial crisis. Phase 1 of the project involved the creation of a decentralized network for digital payments that served as a powerful protest against the largest banks and financial institutions in the world.Â
The Human Right to Privacy
Phase 2 followed after our findings of alarming data privacy issues in almost every application society relies on. These findings demonstrated an urgent market need for secure and data-private alternatives to everyday technologies for messaging, social media, business IT, and other use cases.
ONEG8 Development
Phase 3 involved developing over 25 million lines of code for the data privacy and blockchain infrastructures that make the ONEG8 privacy protocol possible. It also included the development of the consumer version of the ONEG8 super app, in addition to a white-label version so businesses can use ONEG8 to customize their private work networks.
Product Launch, Marketing, and Global Adoption
The ONEG8 super app is now fully launched and publicly available. Phase 5, the marketing and global adoption phase, is currently underway. Phase 5 involves letting the world know that ONEG8 offers the same—and often exceedingly better—features and services that big tech companies provide.
